May –‘Batik Handprint’ Session 1 & 2
Today our students at both sessions had their handprints captured in a simplified ‘batik’ technique – crayon resist. The students were then asked to create and colour triangular patterns on their handprints; as part of fine motor skills exercise in improving hand/eye coordination.
Batik technique was also chosen as part of our effort in introducing and preserving our nation's art and heritage for the next generation.
Learning Outcome: New
technique (batik/crayon resist), Creativity, Sensory, and Fine motor skills.
