May-My First Shadings

Today the class was introduced to another famous rendering technique- Shading. Shading is one of the fundamental aspects of art where it takes creative works up to the next level; giving works more depth and realism. The class focused on the basics; paying close attention to appearance and distance of objects, light source, shadows, intensity and direction of light.

May-Mother's Day!

“If love is sweet as a flower, then my mother is that sweet flower of love!”. Mother's Day is for children to show appreciation to their mothers. There is nothing more lovingly crafted for mother than a handmade ‘potted flower-card’ from her child!

May –Mosaic Paper Plate

Today our students were given the liberty to choose and create their own mosaic paper plate project. ‘Landscape, animals and princess’ were the more popular themes chosen by them. This activity helps hone their skills in colour shading and coordination, creativity and psycho-motor.

Learning outcome: hones colour shading colour coordination skills, enhances creativity, allows simple pleasure of tearing up paper and splattering glue all over for an individual 'masterpiece'.
